the current maintainer of iverilog, أحمد المحمودي (Ahmed El-Mahmoudy)
stated about a month ago he will be offline for an unknown period of
time [1].
I've taken a quick look at iverilog and the new upstream version, looks
good so far as an import and a new upload is pretty straight forward and
also would fix the current FTBFS without further needed action. I can
prepare a new upload soon.
You might want to help to keep the package in a good shape, there aren't
big issues currently, but a good starting point is typically to have a
look at the output of lintian [2] from the package. So far I remember
there are still a few non blocking issues after importing the new version.
