[Pkg-electronics-devel] Greetings + ITP binutils-sh-elf

Hello Electronics Team,

I'm John and I currently maintain open-ath9k-htc-firmware, which holds a
special place in my heart since it's the firmware for the flagship USB Wi-Fi
devices, and the Debian package builds it completely from source with a custom
Xtensa toolchain.

I'm personally on a mission to get as much libre firmware building from source
as possible, chipping away at the contents of firmware-linux-free, which means
packaging the cross-toolchains for these embedded devices is very helpful.

I wonder if my toolchain packages would be welcome here in the Electronics
Team, seeing that we have some common needs? I've got a binutils-sh-elf
package that's coming along swellingly (ITP #980889) and will help build the
firmware for carl9170, ath9k_htc's slightly older counterpart. It of course may
be useful for other SuperH embedded applications.

Please let me know if this interests you.
