Package: xoscope
Version: 2.2-1+b1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

It looks like ALSA support has been omitted in the RaspiOS port
of xoscope. The program runs but can't find the audio input device.
The audacity package finds the capture device via ALSA, so the
hardware is ok, along with the rest of the OS.

Xoscope was installed using sudo apt install xoscope. No errors were
reported, the program runs fine but only recognizes COMEDIA input
devices, which don't seem to exist for the Pi.

The device is quite generic, called DIGITNOW Audio Capture and sold
on Amazon.

As an aside, I tried to compile xoscope 2.3 from source, but the
config process failed in what looked like a fundamental way.

Thanks for reading,

bob prohaska
