if this is a security issue right now is a bit questionable in my eyes.
Nowadays the references to the old used URL needs an update yes.

This has been addressed already by a recent bug report.

Once the update of the current prepared stable version 5.1.11 is
released the package will get an update which will also include a change
of the URL to the main upstream project.
