Hi Larry,

I guess the best would be for you to fork the verilator package in
Salsa [1] and have a go at packaging the latest version. Unfortunately,
it seems verilator depends on systemc which would need to be updated
first before a new version of verilator can make it into the
repositories [2].

I can see Ahmed went a bit quiet since August 2020. It's been troubled
times lately. I hope he's doing alright. I would give him a bit more
time and hopefully he'll provide some guidance as of what is his
availability in the near future.
