[Pkg-erlang-devel] the couchdb 0.10.1 thread

Greetings *,

In preparation for 0.10.1 passing vote and being released [most likely]
soon, here's my back-of-the-envelope list of things we should address for this
release. Feel free to add/comment.

 * Bug #559004 is probably the biggest problem.

 * Bug #550782 should be closed with this release. If not, a deeper look at the
   init script will be needed.

 * Clear out the lintian report nmu issues. Sergei mentioned that this was
caused by a non-uploaded (me) being the last to write to the changelog.

 * I don't think we should remove the killall that lintian is complaining about
just yet - because the 0.10.0-1 release was not so long ago, a lot of people
will probably still be updating from 0.9.0-2. Hopefully we can get rid of it
next time and make a note somewhere public that tells people to restart the
service or kill the old beam process when upgrading from 0.9.*.

As a side note, I would really like to stress ease of upgrading in this
package. Differences between couchdb versions are large enough without the
packaging causing problems.

Cheers,
