Sam, I understand you are busy, but I've waited 10 days with no action
so I will now go ahead with uploading couchdb 1.0 directly to Ubuntu
because the upstream version freeze deadline is approaching rapidly.
I've also got a bug report asking for packaging of 1.0 so user demand
is there, as 1.0 is a big milestone.

Sergei has said he wants your approval/review of the changes I
committed to pkg-erlang SVN (splitting to couchdb and couchdb-bin)
before sponsoring the upload to unstable, so this still needs your
feedback when you have time. Hopefully it will go smoothly, let me
know if you find any problems with the package split or with the
update to couchdb 1.0. I know Kartik and others have been waiting for
this package split to be accepted for quite a long time :)
