[Pkg-erlang-devel] Bug#601339: couchdb: Init script doesn't stop or restart the server

When doing /etc/init.d/couchdb restart or stop, it doesn't actually restart or 
kill the processes, although it doesn't return any error either. This prevents
it from picking up new configurations.
I had to kill the processes manually.

The problem seems to be happenning in Ubuntu too:
