Coin,

To add more info on this subject, as i just found this closed:
   https://support.process-one.net/browse/EJAB-1479

I've got 2 nodes, A and B, authenticating users via LDAP, A also being
a LDAP server and needing no SSL connection, and B connecting via SSL.

With 1:14.b.3-dfsg-2 and ejabberd 2.1.9:
   - node A hangs forever at startup with nothing in the logs
   - node B crash with "Failed to merge schema"
If i revert to 1:14.b.2-dfsg-3 with the same ejabberd version:
   - node A works perfectly
   - node B works but LDAP connection fails with "handshake failure"
even if ldap_tls_cacertfile is properly set, even if ldap_tls_verify
is set to 'soft', but works perfectly if ldap_tls_verify is set to
'false'

Hope that helps.
