| Isn't it more logical to include these directions with the exim4 package?

I might, but it has been customary for each package to provide it's
integration examples. If I installed X and used Exim, I certainly
would look at newly installed package's X documentation first.

The ideal would be that X would install automatically to X, without
any user intervention.
