Bug#224151: exim4: authentication using non-traditional port

I found this inside the completely unrelated bug report for Bug
#224151. If you still have the problem, please file an entirely new
report, preferably using the reportbug script from the Debian
distribution.

The solution for your problem is manually configuring the port in the
smtp smarthost transport.
