Bug#215319: mailname: MAY contain spaces and other invalid chars, however it SHOULD NOT.

I'm sure this 'string' gets passed to exim, regardless of what it is
called at that point.  Your statement any leads me to conclude that exim
has more then one chance to detect the error.
