Given that Outlook Express 4.xx is ancient and the SMTP AUTH RFC is
quite clear, and our policy is to stay as close as possible to
upstream, I am rejecting this patch, thus tagging this bug "wontfix".

If you're a service provider, you have the skills to patch exim
yourself. The Debian source package uses dpatch, making local patches
extremely easy.
