You're right.  I have submitted a bug against spamassassin on this.  It
appears to have an infinite loop somewhere.

However, it would be much better if exim4 had a configuration option
that will limit the amount of time spent in a spam or virus checker, and
give up on the scan and just accept the message after that amount of
time.  From googling, it looks like such features have been requested in
the past of exiscan-acl, but were never added.
