Better: my code that regenerates ue4.conf.conf should check if
something else has changed, so that only the internet/smarthost
config is updated. For the moment, it is just something like

  m4 [...] /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf.m4 > \
    /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf

but I could improve it.
