Looks like your clamd takes like two minutes to reload the databases
and that exim cannot connect to the socket while clamd reloads.
This sounds to me like a bug in clamav-daemon, which looks like
already reported as #427154.
Exim could handle this case more gracefully. This is already reported
as upstream #92 (http://www.exim.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=92).
Is it ok for you that I clone and reassign to clamav-daemon?
