I finally got around to finish polishing & testing my dlopen() patch:

Though, I don't think upstream will react fast enough for the lenny freeze.

Please could you have a look at the patch and tell me if it's ok to apply it
in the package? (I'll continue to work with upstream to get it merged, in
either case)
