I was a bit to optimistic, I have Jessie machines having the (IMHO) correct
(using /etc/aliases) and wrong behavior (ignoring aliases).
Wrong behavior is triggered when /etc/mailname is not listed as localhost in
/etc/hosts. Target maildomain isn't local so is send via smarthost. If
mailname is in localhosts smarthost is skipped, aliases get parsed and if not
local will be send using smarthost.
So it appears this is not a bug/feature but a simple misconfiguration.
