Package: exim4-daemon-heavy
Version: 4.88-5~bpo8+1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

I installed a couple of server with exim4-daemon-heavy
(package installed from backports) to use it behind
a haproxy load balancer, I tried to configure
the hosts_proxy option, but this is not understood by
the daemon, the error "main option "hosts_proxy" unknown"
was returned.
After writing to the exim4 list I found that the compile
time option for Proxy Protocol support was not enabled
for the package, could you please consider to enable it ?

Without the proxy protocol support the exim servers will
consider all connections coming from the haproxy load balancer
instead of the original ip address of the host contacting the
haproxy.

Thank you

Mario Caruso
