And at midnight, root at cventin.lip.ens-lyon.fr got a mail with

  exim paniclog /var/log/exim4/paniclog on cventin.lip.ens-lyon.fr
  has non-zero size, mail system might be broken. Up to 10 lines
  are quoted below.

and the above two lines.
