I've eventually found that coredumps are disabled when I start Mutt
from my window manager (FVWM), but not from a terminal (actually,
that's the same wrapper in both cases). The reason seems that
disabled coredumps is the default (according to /proc/.../limits),
but I re-enable them in my shell.
