Are you sure that you're not using the convert4r4 script? The package
is compiled with dbm support.

"virtual aliases" is a non word. Ask five people, and find out that
they mean ten different things.

Please read /usr/share/doc/exim4-base/README.Debian.gz to find out how
to customize exim4 configuration.
