[Pkg-exim4-users] "local_scan_path" missing from exim4-daemon-heavy in Sarge?

I installed exim4-daemon-heavy (4.50-8) and sa-exim (4.2-2), added the 
local_scan_path to my configuration file (the template) as described:

local_scan_path = /usr/lib/exim4/local_scan/sa-exim.so

But I get an error where local_scan_path is unrecognized to exim:

Restarting MTA: 2005-11-04 01:35:20 Exim configuration error in line 681 
of /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated.tmp:
   option "local_scan_path" unknown

Looking around the web, it seems older versions (4.50-2?) were missing 
the dynamic loading patch which would cause this error.  Did it get left 
out of exim4-daemon-heavy by accident, or is there something I'm doing 
wrong?
