[Pkg-exim4-users] spamassassin cannot get Envelope-From

Hello,

I cannot get SPF checking in spamassassin to work.  I keep seeing the 
following errors in spamd.log:

Sat Mar  4 08:38:42 2006 [10730] dbg: spf: checking HELO (helo=, 
ip=131.111.8.41)
Sat Mar  4 08:38:42 2006 [10730] dbg: spf: cannot get HELO, cannot use SPF
Sat Mar  4 08:38:42 2006 [10730] dbg: spf: cannot get Envelope-From, cannot 
use SPF

If I run spamc after the message has been delivered, SPF checking works, 
presumably because Return-path header is added after spamd checking but 
before delivery.

I am running exim 4.5 with sa-exim 4.2.  I also tried disabling sa-exim and 
using exim's built-in spam acl function, but with the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
