Right. I did and this removes the message complaining about not finding panic log. Anyhow this is a minor problem. My exim package is still broken.

Actually the reinstallation did create a new /etc/exim4 from scratch. I prefer to preserve my exim4 original config files in /etc/exim4.safe until I fix the package. I should be able to install AT LEAST with the default config provided in exim4-config.
