[Pkg-exim4-users] dovecot authenticator

Hi,

I installed exim4 and dovecot on my private vServer and some questions are 
left, which I'll post in separate mails.

First question: I tried to make SMTP authentication via dovecot with exim's 
dovecot authenticator[1], but Exim didn't want to restart due to the unknown 
dovecot driver.

I assume, that the neither the light nor the heavy debian package is compiled 
with the dovecot authenticator and therefore I'd have to compile exim myself. 
Does somebody have a tutorial/How-to on compiling exim4 the debian-way?
