[Pkg-exim4-users] Palm 700p and VersaMail

Hi exim4'ers,

I would like to let exim4 (current version of exim4-daemon-heavy etc on
Debian testing) accept mail from VersaMail on my Palm Pilot 700p smartphone.
The other half (of getting mail from dovecot via IMAP) was fairly easy and is
working.

What I see on the Palm under 'Advanced' options is a choice of 

-- port (which is useful as I need to redirect things at the router level)
-- whether or not to use SSL
-- whether or not to use ESMTP, and if so, username and password.

Naturally, I'd like both SSL and ESMTP.  But even after all these years with
exim as my default mailer, I am still getting lost in the documentation. 

I would be greateful for pointers to examples, tutorials or config snippets
as well as for ways to test the setup.  I did learn about swaks, but am still
wasn't able to get to the desired setup.
