I did not mean to infer he was incorrect or it was "not OK."  I
thought that since the OS. exim versions and configurations would be
the same, the db format would also be the same and thusly perhaps just
copying the spool would work fine and that would be easier than
figuring out how to configure exim for this transition.

As an FYI for others who might read this - the original poster on
exim-users said he setup a smarthost to the new server.  That
certainly sounds a lot easier than what I thought others were
suggesting.
