[Pkg-exim4-users] Can I replace /etc/aliases with a database

Hi all,

I am new to this list and to setting up mailservers so I apologise if
this is obvious.

I have am setting up a web site for artists, each of which has a gallery
and I want to set up a system where each gallery has an email address
which gets forwarded to the artists own email address (so
fred-jones at marcade.biz might become fjones at fjones.com ) I don't want to
use /etc/aliases to do this as the information is already in a MySQL
database, and I also want to give users the ability to change their own
(final) email address. I assume it is possible to get exim to query the
database instead of looking in /etc/aliases, but I can't work out how to
do it.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 2.6.23.1-bytemark-uml with exim4 4.63-17

Thanks for any help
Bernard
