Hello,
Looks like you somehow either manually changed the permissions or
changed the user id exim4 runs under.

On a fresh installation /var/log/exim4 is 2750 Debian-exim:adm and
/var/spool/exim4 is 0750 Debian-exim:Debian-exim. exim4 itself runs
under the user Debian-exim.
ametzler at argenau:~$ /usr/sbin/exim4 -bP | grep 'exim_[ug]'
exim_group = Debian-exim
exim_user = Debian-exim
