Thank you Andreas, I am sure it is 'something' like this but

Sadly this does not work for me:

debian:~# dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config
/etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf: line 33: REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA: 
command not found
