These are three possibilities to do the job. Choose the one most
suited for your needs.

I have to violently object to calling configuring exim as "hacking the
configuration files". These are _configuration_ _files_. They are
_meant_ to be modified. Exim -Needs- to be configured, and the
configuration files are the method to do so.
