Debian's configuration is not that different from the way exim is
normally configured. With a bit of abstraction (which you'll need
anyway since all LDAP deployments are different), you'll be able to
adapt any documentation to Debian's scheme.

I would recommend using the split configuration scheme, as it is
easier to disable parts of the stock configuration while keeping
access to changes Debian might do to other parts of configuration.

README.Debian will explain the split configuration, spec.txt will
explain the way how exim works. You can ignore
/etc/exim4/exim4.conf.template, as this file is only used for
non-split configuration.
