btw -- fix (or to say - workaround) was committed to GIT
(https://github.com/PyMVPA/PyMVPA/commit/ce2d14f7f58af49fca36c130e597ccf3a26ba636)
apparently due to a known regression in numpy in dealing with
memmaps
