[Pkg-fglrx-devel] Installing fglrx packages cause an unstable system amd64

I run a Debian Sid with the amd64 kernel and Xorg 7.4 Since the latest
ATi drivers have been packages I have attempted to install them.
However, once the packages have been installed the system becomes
unusable. I am not referring to running Xorg with FGLRX drivers, but
just installing the packages.

I have experienced an inability to start programs, that is going to a
menu and starting a terminal will not work. Also, if Xorg is restarted
(no reconfiguration for fglrx)  will result in a garbled screen.

Solution has been to remove all fglrx packages and restart the machine.
