Same problem for me (notebook with HD3200 and HD3650): 9.1 does not solve...
I've noticed that with this version backtrace is printed in log file only
with fglrx kernel module loaded, without kernel module no backtrace but
still blank screen.
Moreover I don't have any Textured2D option in my xorg.conf, so commenting
it if present seems not useful.
