> Hi,
You probably should try to do the module assistant round before installing
fglrx-driver. Indeed, fglrx-driver has a dependency on the virtual package
fglrx-modules (meaning kernel modules). This dependency is defaulted to a
precompiled package, in order to make it more easy to the majority of users
who use a standard kernel.
In your case (and mine), I guess you have a kernel for which there is no
pre-compiled module package. But the dependency system resolves this by
proposing you a standard kernel..
What you should do is, as root:
module-assistant -t a-i fglrx
(drink a cofee/tea/...)
I even think that this might be enough, but just in case:
apt-get install fglrx-driver.
And you should be done.
