Package: fglrx-driver
Version: 1:9-6-3
Severity: normal

reopen 524871
thanks

I installed fglrx-driver 9-6-3 on x86-64 (by manually building the package from
packages.debian.org package), and I am getting lots of these messages:

[ 982.287980] [fglrx:firegl_find_any_map] *ERROR* Invalid map handle!<3>[fglrx:drm_vm_open] *ERROR* map not found -> inconsistent kernel data!!! vma_start:0x7f2675c6a000,handle:0xd9429000
[ 982.288805] [fglrx:firegl_find_any_map] *ERROR* Invalid map handle!<3>[fglrx:drm_vm_close] *ERROR* map not found -> inconsistent kernel data!!! vma_start:0x7f2675c6a000,handle:0xd942900

I am using 2.3.30.1 kernel:
Linux debian 2.6.30.1 #126 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jul 16 12:40:15 EEST 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This bugreport says this was fixed in 9-6-1, but I am seeing them with 9-6-3.

I don't know if older kernels/drivers have shown this message or not, because I
just bought this ATI card.

Should I attach my kernel .config?

My xorg.conf is pretty minimal:
Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier "aticonfig Layout"
        Screen 0 "Default Screen" 0 0
EndSection

Section "Files"
EndSection

Section "Module"
EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"

EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Generic Keyboard"

EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Configured Mouse"
        Driver "mouse"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Option "TexturedVideo" "True"
        Identifier "Radeon"
        Driver "fglrx"
        BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Default Screen"
        Device "Radeon"
        Monitor "Configured Monitor"
        DefaultDepth 24
        SubSection "Display"
                Depth 24
                Modes "1680x1050"
        EndSubSection
EndSection

adding/removing the TexturedVideo option didn't help.
