Version: 1:9-2-2
Severity: normal

Hello,
being asked for help by a friend to setup a duel-head configuration with
the proprietary fglrx and two monitors with different physical
resolution, we noticed that aticonfig will fail for Radeon HD 3870 X2
boards because of a broken /etc/ati/control file. Using the version from
fglrx 8.12 re-enables aticonfig on above named boards.

aticonfig fails with the following error message:
> aticonfig: No supported adapters detected.

Attached you'll find a little script, which helps inexperienced users to
work around this issue until it is resolved. It's nothing special but might help.

Kind regards,
Kai Wasserbäch
