it's possible, but it isn't really a good use of resources since
neither 10-1 or 10-2 will actually make it to the release anyway.

launchpad keeps a snapshot of all debian packages, which may be
easiest, but it's also pretty straightforward to check out the
packaging from svn and build it yourself.

as a suggestion, you may be able to make a larger impact with this
issue if you file an upstream bug [0].
