My reaction to  Gnome 3 is essentially the exact opposite of "enjoy".  
It's been removed from my system as, um, not what I want.

I've never used an Intel video card that had the 3d performance to do 
much of anything.  I'd stick to the Nvidia cards which work well for me, 
but this laptop I just got (which has an Intel adapter in addition to 
the ATI, fwiw) didn't have that option.  I'm waiting mostly patiently 
for the fglrx driver to be available so I can see if that's any better.
