Dear Maintainers,
I installed the fglrx-legacy-driver packet from experimental into my
debian wheezy (64bit) on a Lenovo Thinkpad 0221-A16 (ATI RS880M
[Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series]) using aptitude:
Start-Date: 2012-08-07 19:12:44
Install: libfglrx-legacy-amdxvba1:amd64 (8.97.100.3-1, automatic),
fglrx-legacy-modules-dkms:amd64 (8.97.100.3-1, automatic),
fglrx-legacy-driver:amd64 (8.97.100.3-1), fglrx-legacy-atieventsd:amd64
(8.97.100.3-1, automatic), glx-alternative-fglrx:amd64 (0.2.90,
automatic), libgl1-fglrx-legacy-glx:amd64 (8.97.100.3-1, automatic),
libfglrx-legacy:amd64 (8.97.100.3-1, automatic)
Upgrade: glx-alternative-mesa:amd64 (0.2.2, 0.2.90),
glx-diversions:amd64 (0.2.2, 0.2.90)
End-Date: 2012-08-07 19:13:52
According to xorg.log everything is fine but after the bootscreen
switches to the Xserver the system freezes. I'm even not able to switch
to other tty's via Ctrl+Shift+Fx.
I would like to file a bug for that issue to support the development of
this packets. My question:
Which data should I collect and how can I do that when the system
freezes without any chance to access the system in this situation?
Thanks for your help
Markus Resch
