I've never looked into them. Just read them and find them not up to
date. Probably the same as for Nvidia.

I'm not the wiki person, so I won't start maintaining these or other
pages. And I never googled for them. But I'm probably not a good example
user they are targeting either ...

There should probably be some kind of compatibility matrix at the top of
the page, including instructions for finding out the model that one has
and how to map it to some family name ...

Family; marketed names | codename | squeeze | wheezy | sid
Radeon ancient | | free radeon driver only
  Radeon XD 1xxxxx; .... | RVxyz | no | yes | yes
  FireGL 9999 | RVabc | no | backports | no (Xorg:
wheezy, driver: wheezy-backports)
  Radeon HD 2xxx | | yes | backports | yes (driver:
experimental)

If there is some "history" to be preserved, this can be done in a final
"History" chapter.

Andreas

PS: the NVIDIA equivalent is
http://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers which is a good example for
a bad wiki page, there is way too much irrelevant information for a
novice user
