In the output you attached to your first mail it says:
4977: file=libgtk-3.so.0 [0]; needed by gnome-session [0]
So clearly some fglrx stuff is trying to use libgtk. Don't ask me how, it's
non-free stuff.
I really think this is not a Qt 4 bug because this kind of interaction would
have happened before in some of the miriad of Qt4 apps used under a Gnome
environment. I'm so reassigning it to fglrx.
