Well, I was able to grab the source code from Backports but the
libgl1-fglrx-glx-i386 .deb doesn't build in Jessie. I'm guessing that
it builds just fine for Testing and Unstable as it seems to exist in the
Package repositories there.

So it's not a situation of the fglrx-driver building the wrong version
of libgl1-fglrx-glx-i386 in Jessie-Backports, it's just not updating
this .deb at all in Jessie-backports so it's an old version.

I edited the debian/control file and told it to *also* build the
libgl1-fglrx-glx-i386 as Architecture AMD64 and this does indeed result
in an amd64 .deb.

However, the .deb doesn't work to run 32-bit OpenGL apps as expected
because, I'm guessing, this absolutely must compiled for i386.

As far as why this multi-arch foreign libgl1-fglrx-glx-i386 package
isn't compiling a .deb on Jessie, I haven't figured that out yet. There
is no obvious errors, just lots of warnings about diversions.
