No. Unless somebody put a lot of effort into this, the above copyright
info indicates that this TTF has been converted from a Type1 font which
originates from GhostScript. The fonts that can be found in the gsfonts
package carry the same copyright info.

Why has anybody ever created 'ttf-bitstream-vera' ...?
