a large number of fonts within Debian are team-maintained by the
"Debian Fonts Task Force" [1] and the people involved with this
project are reachable via this (CC'ing this message to it):

pkg-fonts-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org

You can take a look at the current packages directly in the svn
repository [2]
