Currently the Fonts team is understaffed, we need more people. Same
for Debian and free software in general I think. I would suggest that
you might like to package Font Industry yourself, and have your
package uploaded to Debian through a sponsor. If you need more help
than the links below, please see #debian-mentors on irc.debian.org or
##fonts on irc.freenode.net.
