[Pkg-fonts-devel] RFP: Free Educative Handwritung Fonts

Dear Debian Font Task Force,

I'd like to draw your attention to 
http://bugs.skolelinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279
and hope that you can, please, give some assistance in 
getting further free fonts into Debian [Edu] that are valuable for educative 
usage (schools using Skolelinux e.g.).

There are many comments on this RFP bug, and probably I should file a similar 
report to bugs.debian.org. For now (being short of time), I leave it with a 
short summary here:

Debian using schools need educative fonts. I'm in contact with a free font 
designer who commited a lot of work to a free version of different 
handwriting/script fonts - including German "Vereinfachte Ausgangsschrift" 
which is used in most primary schools here. Those fonts are under free 
license, and to be released soon; for Debian Edu/Skolelinux, having these 
fonts in Debian, is a preposition for deploying these fonts with the upcoming, 
edge based version of Skolelinux.

P.S.: Of course, we could provide Fontforge's source format - I might even 
have an SVN account on Alioth - but it would take some time until I'd achieve 
commitments there.
