[Pkg-fonts-devel] Status of "packages modernization | defoma drop" actions

You probably noticed "some" activity on packages recently.

In short, I (as well as, to some extent, Davide Viti and Hideki
Yamane) worked on two parallel tasks:

- modernization of packaging
 
 That includes moving to source v3.0 format, debhelper 7 and minimal
 rules files. This involves dropping cdbs for packages that were using
 it.

 Adding ${misc:Depends} to all binary packages as now recommended by
 lintian (it allows included dependencies triggerred by the use of
 some debhelper utilities).

 Using 3.8.3 Standards-Version

 Importing upstream "source" in SVN and taggin it as explained in
 packages/README.source

- dropping defoma dependency and support

 That includes dropping the defoma hints files. A preinst script takes
 care of purging the defoma cache and removing the file from the
 filesystem.

 Build dependencies and binary packages dependencies on defoma are
 dropped

 Calls to dh_installdefoma are dropped
